Termination of Pregnancy Services
Bedford Hospital offers a dedicated service for termination of pregnancies.
We appreciate that this is a very difficult decision to make, and we will support you and be with you before, during and after the process. We assure you of complete confidentiality, and will respect your decision with regard to mode and address of correspondence.

You can also be referred into the service by your GP, or by the Community Sexual Health and Family Planning services.
During your appointment you will see a consultant who will assess your medical condition, perform a scan, and discuss the options of inpatient and outpatient treatments.
We currently offer inpatient and an outpatient treatment which has found wide acceptance.
You will also see a nurse who will discuss the procedure with you. They will also provide you with a contact number if you wish to consult us at any time during the treatment.
We have a close liaison with community contraception services. You can provide us your contact number and a nurse will contact you soon after the procedure to discuss contraception, provide you with your chosen method, and support you thereafter.
If you find yourself in an abusive relationship we can help you and will maintain your confidentiality.
We run two clinics from 9am-1pm on Monday and Wednesday.
