Prayer Room

Bedford Hospital has a Muslim prayer room which is open to all staff, patients and visitors. The prayer room is located adjacent to the chapel, near the Swannery and is run by the Imam: Imam Irshad Ali, who is a volunteer at Bedford Hospital, and has over 15 years experience as an Imam.

The prayer room is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week and Friday prayers are led by the Imam. There are washing facilities, numerous copies of the Quran and a privacy barrier for women who would like to have a cubical during prayer.

The Imam is happy to offer prayer and spiritual advice for patients or relatives and anybody is welcome in the prayer room.
