Orchard gynaecology ward is situated in Cygnet wing behind Orchard maternity ward and cares for patients undergoing either medical or surgical gynaecological treatment. Staff on the ward include two sisters, health care assistants, doctors, nurses, physiotherapists and student nurses and midwives.

When a patient arrives on the ward they will be greeted by one of the nursing staff and shown around the ward and to their bed. Routine observations will then be recorded.

Visiting Orchard Gynaecology Ward

Visiting times on the ward are 2pm to 8pm. All visiting outside designated visiting hours must be agreed with the nurse in charge.

Please be aware that, for health and safety reasons, flowers and plants are not permitted on the ward, and only two visitors are permitted per bed.

Patients can also use the dining room in Orchard Maternity ward if they wish.
