Bereavement Service
The bereavement service has a dedicated team of staff who coordinate all of the paperwork that needs to be completed after death, such as the medical certificate of the cause of death and any necessary medico-legal forms. They department liaises with medical and nursing staff, funeral directors, the Coroner’s office, the register office and various other outside agencies.
Our bereavement officers do not provide counselling services but can put you in touch with the necessary counselling services.
If you wish to speak to a doctor about the medical certificate of cause of death or if you have any other concerns, please ask a member of the bereavement staff.
